Parent Movement, Baby Movement: Why They’re Essential and How They’re Related
There’s an ecology to moving while pregnant. The movements you do before and during will affect not only how your birthing-anatomy can move when it’s time to deliver, but also affect fetal movement during pregnancy. After delivery, no matter how you deliver, there are recovery movements that not only restore your body but simultaneously move your infant in a way that stimulates and cultivates their movement needs and reflexes. In this 60-minute lecture, Katy Bowman, author of Diastasis Recti and Grow Wild, will outline a different kind of “pre/postnatal” movement model—one that considers the time and childcare constraints we all deal with on the regular.
